    Twitching Throttle Servo

Hey guys I have an original 4910 T-Maxx and when I turn the truck on the throttle servo constantly twitches. It will center wherever I have the trim set, but moves rapidly back and forth about five degrees in each direction. If I apply throttle it will also twitch at any setting I move the servo to. If I switch the channels on the reciever neither servo twitches at all so I don't know how to tell if it is a servo problem or a transmitter problem. Has anyone had this problem before?

ive never had that issue but if i was to guess id say servo, and the throttle servo is cheap to replace, also my lhs would take it back if it didnt work.... not sure about yours... i hate wierd electrical issues esp on real vehicles, there the worst

I never even thought, but I just did the FOC kit on the truck and removed a working 2018 servo that was previously used to shift from forward to reverse and vice versa. Is this servo adequate to power the throttle and brakes? It currently has a Traxxas 2055 high torque servo, but as I mentioned it has been acting up a lot. Ill go switch them out and see what happens.

yes the 2018 will work fine, its what i use on both my tmaxx's throttle/ brakes, it fully opens the throttle no problem and slams my brakes real nicly..... a 2055 is rated at 80oz/in, and a 2018 is 42oz-in...

still more then enouph for a throttle/brake servo, btw the 2055 is technically a high torque steering servo, over kill for a throttle/brake...

It wasnt really the throttle I was worried about haha. I figured that the brakes would be what take all the power.

wierd, i stand corrected, haha, but id tend to not agree with traxxas on the 2018, if i put that on my steering its way more then a 14oz/in difference from the 2055, and everyone but traxxas lists it as 42oz/in which makes more sense to me

yes even the steering servo 2055 is not a great servo, i went with a s3305, its 125oz/in metal geared, and it ripps my tires fully left and right when the vehicle is not moving....

i got mine at my lhs for $35, and its a direct fit to a traxxas horn or servo saver...

btw the only thing i can think why traxxas lists there servos as higher oz/in is that they are rating it being used with 6volts, not sure on this but that would make sense then...
