hi lads, iv been looking at the mamba max pro sct edition with the 2400kv motor, was thinking of running this on 4s any ideas if it would be worth the upgrade over running my stock vxl system on 3s lipo.

Yes, about double the power, 3s is uncontrollable I would expect 4s to be insane

I just got a slash 4x4 from crags list with a mamba 2200kv. When I went to get it the guy had it setup 6s. That's nuts. It will easily go so fast it gets airborne. I'm running it with a 3s and it's plenty fast. Haven't tried it on 4s yet. On 4s I'm sure it would be faster than stock on a 3s.

IMO the MMP/2400 is the perfect combo for 1/10 trucks, slash-pede 4x4, 3s is very nice I won't say it uncontrollable, actually is the perfect set up, 4s is great, but not insane, haven't tried 5s.

Perfect system for bashing at 45 mph on 3s

Or 60 mph plus speed runs on 4s

The RX8 on 4s matches your description of what your after, works very well for me. Great for dethatching the yard lol...
