What is the best stock motor heatsink available w/o a fan

Hey guys, hoping some of you can give some input on what motor heatsink fits and works best on the stock velineon 3500.
I don't want a motor heatsink with a fan, I already have the velineon esc fan currently.
Just ordered an outerwears shroud and I wanna keep it just a bit cooler in there.
If you have any item numbers or pics that you use on yours much appreciated.

It's been my understanding that a good heat-sink, preferably used with some thermal compound (arctic silver perhaps) will do wonders and no fan is needed. I personally would use some mechanism to secure it to the motor if your bashing hard as all the clip on heatsinks will pop off when you crash hard. Perhaps a piece of steel wire wrapped around and twisted tight with a pair of pliars, or a zip tie/wire combo or similar.

I use this on my Tekin Pro4 4600, and while the color blue doesn't match my motor perfectly, it sure does cool well. There are a lot of fins and they are long.

But you can just glance around and try a few. I own the short, the long, a black one from some place in Hong Kong, etc. I really like the AE one in the link above. Just IMHO.

I figured running the Outerwears shroud with the velineon esc fan and just a heatsink w/o fan on motor I would be good to go.

Has anyone used this heatsink on there stock motor and do you think it wiil work ok http://www.greathobbies.com/producti..._id=INTC22374B

The aluminum integy uses is poor quality. However this takes basically zero load, so there is no chance of breaking. I would strongly advise against buying any integy aluminum part that has any load bearing on it (C hub, a steering knuckle, etc.). With that said, *IMHO* the fins look thick, there arent a lot of them and I don't know why it is shaped the way it is on top. Is that to look cool? The more surface area the better heat transfer you'll have. I wouldn't use that.

I have one of these heatsinks on 4 of my trucks, they work very well. The last one was ordered by my wife for our sons Redcat Volcano, but she did not know it already had one, so I took it and put it on my Platinum truck and it fit like a charm. She only paid 6.99 for it shipped off Ebay. May try ordering one for a Redcat, their parts seem to be cheaper in price, the ones I ordered were around 14-15 bucks off Ebay for the Traxxas and it was the same identical part.

The heatsink I posted sells for $13.97 and I've never seen it for less. Not sure which one your wife got for $6.99, but it's not this one. Only one guy seems to sell this particular high fin aluminum heatsink on feebay.
