I have a track pass for that shop. I don't get up there to often unless im getting a part that's needed NOW lol. I grew up in gardner and Fitchburg. I lived at 42 beemis rd for some years, there when hurricane Gloria took out that bridge. To bad the rc shop wasn't there when we were kids lol I had to troop over to rolling america back then. Im in the process of building a forum, but for now free memberships are on the facebook page. Not many members yet, I got it started Turkish past summer and find myself bashing alone still. Patiently waiting for it to build. Next summer i'll have a big banner to drape over my 1:1 car for people passing by to get involved, they say advertising is the key lol.

I usually run 2s 5000mah and when those are charging a 3s 30c traxxas battery. Mine stays cool all day. What is your gearing?

That gearing on 3s should be good for bbq vxl, any questions on why it got hot lol? I'll give ya a hint, it starts with, 19 and ends with, 54

A sl4sh with vxl is ready for 2s geared 15/54, 3s is tricky. If your drive train is top notch, no extra load or resistance 9t-11t and 54 spur would be more of a lasting set up. It sounds low and lacks in speed but, your motor will find the trash can soon after you pass the 200 mark. We can chat more if you like, give me a shout if I can help any.
