Rock n Rolla !
Thankfully the truck shell still fits. with about a 1/4" to spare...
Need to use a different really shaved down bumper foam for it, but that's a quick change out.

I have recently been toying with the idea of installing a Summit rear bulkhead and differential/locker and the servo/linkage to remotely lock the rear end for drifting...
Good idea??
(RAH)² (AH)³ + [ROMA (1+MA)] + (GA)² + (OOH)(LA)²
Do you think you need hardened gears for that...I've heard a few guys in the Summit forum complain of shearing gears before for using the T-lock in high gear...then again this truck doesn't have the mass behind it.
It could work...what about a thicker lube in the diff??
Rock n Rolla !
i thought about going with thicker lube, but i dont always mess around drifting.
That's kinda why i was toying with remote locking.
Hadn't thought about the durability on the t-lock teeth though. Nobody is producing an upgraded material for that yet? Figured with the complaints on the summit someone may have come up with a steel piece for both sides by now.
Maybe i'll just step it up on the lube and see how i like that. (i got time to toy with it now, now that winter is here...)

I've only seen these...truckmonster; scroll to the bottom...they are fairly pricey thou.
Rock n Rolla !
.............. lube it is. hahaha
Wow.

Cameron, i'm a big fan of your GT build, you inspired me to build one of my own version onroad. so far this is what i've done.
body fitted

Love the sunroof, nice touch
Off to a great start.

thanks, i'm going to use the xo-1 bumper/support.
Let me know how that comes together, i used the Ofna GTP2e front end assembly on mine, but only because the Xo-1 wasnt out yet. Otherwise i would have looked at that as well.
It works but it can probably be better.
(RAH)² (AH)³ + [ROMA (1+MA)] + (GA)² + (OOH)(LA)²
i sure will. heard anything from pavementsurfer's GT? he had it for sale at MP at one time and no takers. i've seen the running video and theres alot of body roll.
mine has virtually no body roll. it is set up very stiff and low. Im running a ton of limiting on the shocks. i think it is about 12mm of travel restriction.
Im not sure what Pave ended up doing with his.
(RAH)² (AH)³ + [ROMA (1+MA)] + (GA)² + (OOH)(LA)²
what spring rate did you use and did you put the blue limiter inside the body shocks?
i have the option blue/silver springs on. and i am running the blue bumper and 2 pushrod spacers as limiters.
(RAH)² (AH)³ + [ROMA (1+MA)] + (GA)² + (OOH)(LA)²
got cha....thanks for the info. i bought the stock slayer suspension and still waiting for it in the mail. i might have to stop by at LHS to pick up some spacers and more parts lol.
With my E-slayer I could never lower(zip tie) the front end as low as I wanted to because the front skid would end up sitting on the ground. Do you guys drag the front skid a lot on these GT conversions?
i think the spring have to be stiff as possible to eliminate the body roll and with the limiter(s) inside the body shocks will help alot with the suspension travel.
Mine will hit on hard braking but i dont have a whole ton of scrubbing on the bumper. On mine the Ofna bumper actually touches down and not the skid plate. That said im sure i have less than 1/2" of clearance on the front end and maybe 3/4"-7/8" clearance out back. It is very low, for a Revo anyways haha.
I really wish i could get a decent video to show how stiff it is in cornering.
(RAH)² (AH)³ + [ROMA (1+MA)] + (GA)² + (OOH)(LA)²
since im using the 3.3 chassis i bent the front a bit so that its not pointing up much same with the rear.
How does that work? The bulkhead has the same kickup?
(RAH)² (AH)³ + [ROMA (1+MA)] + (GA)² + (OOH)(LA)²
Interesting approach. I kept my bulkhead angle stock. I used my spacers on the bumper.
You can see them here.
That pic reminds me i need to swap out those screws with flat tops before they are so worn down i need a dremel to remove them haha
This was an after-thought. Originally i had the bumper mounted flush to the bulkhead, but even just that bit of angle created lift on the front end with the amount of surface area on the ofna bumper. Didn't corner for poop. it would push all over.
The limited test driving i did after flattening out the bumper has this thing planted now, cornering is very responsive.
Here is my limiter setup too. I think i took one of the spacers out of the rears now that i think about it.

yes it is, i tried using fuel line the first go round, but it split and failed very quickly. needed something a bit more stable, the pushrod spacers aren't a super-tight fit but the blue bumper is, enough so that the spacers cant |\ enough to effect the thickness. they can barely move against each other.
(RAH)² (AH)³ + [ROMA (1+MA)] + (GA)² + (OOH)(LA)²
Very interesting with the pushrod spacers...did you use that idea on the eSlayer too??
Rock n Rolla !
im running 1 pushrod spacer on the E-SlayerPro4x4. wanted it down a bit but not too much.
(RAH)² (AH)³ + [ROMA (1+MA)] + (GA)² + (OOH)(LA)²
The end result of this mod is to limit the amount of damper on the shock right?? What weight oil you using?...I was thinking along the lines of your build with the blue and silver springs and an oil of around 35K. A light lube in the diffs...maybe 30K in front and 10K in the rear.
Rock n Rolla !
end result is a shorter shock = lower ride height.
In the GT im using 55wt all round. i think i have 40wt in the Slayer.
30k/10k f/r in my diffs in both actually
(RAH)² (AH)³ + [ROMA (1+MA)] + (GA)² + (OOH)(LA)²
I'll need to play around with this and see how it works...we have stainless tube here at work that is almost a direct slip onto the shaft. I might cut some down to size...these spacers from what I understand from the above posts go inside the shock?
Rock n Rolla !
you got it, put the spacers on before you drop the shock shaft into the shock body and out the bottom![]()

Cheers mate...good info in here. Thanks for your help Cameron. Might be dropping a few more questions for you once I start my build.
Rock n Rolla !
cameron, i asked this on my build thread but i did'nt get no respond i just thought maybe you know .... i order the xo-1 diff, is there any differences between the erbe?..... besides the diff case ofcourse![]()
I would have to say take a look at the drawings/parts list, haven't paid a ton of attention to the particulars on the XO-1 yet. I'm afraid to, i might end up wanting one lol.
(RAH)² (AH)³ + [ROMA (1+MA)] + (GA)² + (OOH)(LA)²
i gues i'll find out when it arrive to my door, i bought it cause its only $12.99, i alrready have the diff cases so i thought its cheaper buying it this way than buying it individually like the diff cups, I beam with spider gears and so on.
once they are out of the case i think they are the same. Same carrier part # anyways.
and they have the X parts internally.
(RAH)² (AH)³ + [ROMA (1+MA)] + (GA)² + (OOH)(LA)²
yeah thats what i thought i just need your 2nd opinion, thanks. if there is a small differences i'll let you know.
Its funny, now that im looking at them, i think the XO-1 rear section might actually work for a project im working on.
Hmmm.
But that is for another forum.

I would be much happier right now with my ERBE-GT if the NEU 1515/1Y 2200kv motor would fit.
It's an anomaly with a 22.5mm spacing on the mounting holes instead of 25mm. Doesn't fit in anything i have right now.
