    Series 3 7-cell lasted 1 minute...

Have run it through 1 3-cycle set, voltage after discharge and recharge is about 8.18 volts.

What options to I have. Using a Thunder AC6 charger. Have a second 7-cell hump Series 3 that is on the charger now going through the same process. The batteries had not been used for 6-8 months.

    Suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Bruce

i would say just charge it up and use it but dont charge more than the 3000mah 3amps charge rate. i would charge at 2amps since it hasnt been used for that long to do a slow charge. i wouldnt charge, discharge, charge the batteries as they dont get a memory effect that often to perform that even after storage.
I would charge battery then use it and charge again after cooling the battery.
voltage should be higher than 8.4v should be around 8.9v i think i know its higher than the battery voltage right off the charger.

If all else fails, charge it at 1/10c or at .3A for a 3000mah battery with a peak of 4mv/c hopefully the cells will equalize and regain some capicity. This charge will take a while but usually works for me,after a few cycles/runs they will be fine

Any progress or update(s) on this problem?
It seems to me a 7-cell pack with a maximum voltage of 8.18V is either not being charged fully or has a dead/very weak cell.
I know they're having their break there by your brake drums. No, you're not invited.

Thanks for the suggestions. The second 7-cell turned out just great...the first, well, I'll try the slow charge and see if that will work. Let's face it...nothing to lose.
    Thanks to all!
