    All steel full cage custom jato 3.3

    Hey traxxas peeps...thought i would drop in say WORD..plus been working on my jato 3.3 for about 3yrs tryin to get it to this point...all steel full cage..one piece...yeah i know it adds a few pound to the jato....will slow it down a bit ...but its a jato...so its fun at all speeds...but got tired of replacing the shock towers and dif cases...i made this with quarter inch steel bar and plate..painted it with truck bedliner...ruff and tuff jato...just wanted to see what yall thought ....go easy on me...lol

    Nice work looks great ..... Can I ask how much that bad boy weighs? Did you do all the fabrication and welding yourself? But have to make sure to post some pictures when you have it installed.

    Man that looks pretty sweet. You should definitely put pics when it is completely installed even better with a video of it Operational.

    thanks guys...yes did all the fab myself....the only thing someone else did was cut the chassis plate out cause i didnt have a plasma cutter at the time....well on the house scale (which is not too acurate)stock weight was around 7lbs...and i think the cage was about that before the bed liner....but wanted to take it up to UPS and use their scale when its done and get a full weight....but almost got it back together....had to get a spur gear and some wheel bearings today.....i know i might have to upgrade the trans eventualy....thought yall peeps might like it......thanks again...will get yall some pics soon...

    great work the only down thing about roll cages is that there's no space for placing the body easy way later.

    i know a guy.....with carbon fiber ....you see where its going ....lol in time....light bar, custom carbon body...new rims & tires..you will likey!!!!lol...thanks .

    a few more pics....just had to put some old tires on and run it to see.....runs great....still needs a lil tuning but all good...seems balanced on jumps....need some other shocks and rims and tires....and also BRAKES for sure....all that steel ....stock brakes cant do it ...lol...peace

    Man that looks freaking awesome. I like your idea of the rock crawler body i cant wait to see you final pictures of this bad boy.
