I was just out doing long distance high speed runs with my T-maxx. I have the old black tranny in it. The truck was originally a 2.5 but I put a 3.3 in it and beefed up the drivetrain a little. I noticed that when i did a high speed run in second gear, once i stopped and returned it to idle, and then took off again, the engine would rev high and then clunk into gear and take off. After it gets going its fine, it just hesitates before taking off. Could this be a problem with the spur gear? Is my old tranny just bad and I need a new grey one? And will this new grey tranny fit in my converted 2.5 to 3.3?
