    Tire Confusion

I bought 2 pairs of Dirt Hawg I/Titus which states fit for 1/16 MERV. When I check thetoyz, there is another 'Proline Dirt Hawg 2.8" All Terrain Tires Mounted on Desperado Black Rear Wheels' which states fitting 1/16 Summit as well. I check Proline web but it only mentions Jato and Stampede fits only.

May I know if this Proline Dirt Hawg 2.8" All Terrain Tires Mounted on Desperado Black Rear Wheels is a direct fit or not? If not what additional parts should I buy? If ordering same thing but Trencher tires, will it be even better?

Thank you and need some advices. Merry X'Mas

    What is the part number?

Those 2.8's are going to be HUGE for a 1/16th.
Regular 2.2's are even quite large.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

By saying they fit, they probably mean they are 12mm hexs. You should compare the overall diameter/height of your current tires and the new tires you got.

@Supernova...I got the 2.8's on Desperados and they fit great. A little bigger, but not a huge difference when I compare with the 2.2's side by side. I'll post some pics soon.

Hi CMAC610, thank you for the photo. I want to get a black wheel with least molding. I will order 2 pairs. So no need molding?

cmac610, so those are 2.8's by what I read. I really want the 2.8 Trenchers on mine. My concern is the tires rubbing the body. How much do they rub? Also what are you geared at and how is the ESC and Motor taking the heat?

That looks cool, what servo are you running to support those big tires.

Still stock. Haven't noticed a significant difference. By the way, I had a wide angle lens on for that pic so the tires appear larger than they really are!

Jeep...still handles well. Had it out on the sand at the beach over the weekend for the first time Probably going to mess with the gearing a little next, but the 2.8's are still working well. Besides, I think they look great.
