    -charge ni-mh/lipo batteries

-a good general charger that can do alot
-priced between $50-$120 (if it is a little more its ok)

    thanks.

I love hyperion chargers but like all good chargers they are not cheap. Another good brand is Thunder Power but I havent used any of their chargers.

    A few Hyperion examples
    50Watts AC/DC $100
    90Watts AC/150Watts DC $150
    250Watts DC $170
(2 Ports) , 250Watts DC $250 (like having two seperate 250watt chargers in one device)

The DC is at 12V, some of the chargers mentioned do more watts at 24v but I am assuming you dont have a 24v source. Grab your packs capacity (5000mah as en example) divide it by 1000 then multiply it by your nominal voltage (3.7v per lipo cell) the result is your packs whr (watt hour) capacity.
Now grab your chargers capacity and devide it by your pack and that will tell you the fastest charge time you can get.

Lets use the 50 watt hyperion as an exmaple and also use a 3s5000mAh pack.
    5000/1000*3*3.7=55.5watts
    50/55.5 = .9C charge rate

    Now lets compare the 250watt
    5000/1000*3*3.7=55.5watts
250/55.5 = 4.5C charge rate* (you will hit the chargers Amp limit at 20amps or 4C before you reach the max Watts)

All lipos that I know of can be charged at 1C but only some of them can be charged at 2C or more, please check your lipo before charging at a higher rate.

I have a Thunder AC680 that I paid $50 shipped to my door. I've had it for about a year now and have charged hundreds of packs with it and it's still going strong.

That charger you linked is a Thunder copy...you could get the AC680 for $20 cheaper and it's 80W (6A) compared to 50W (5A).

The only problem with the AC680 is that it is sold out everywhere........which is why I went with the Thunder AC6.
