Lrp spec lll revo, savage x 4.6
Bought sway bar, vented brake disc and new suspension bars since a tree got in the way and the original brake isn't very effective at high speed. Just to bad I need a new engine, not sure if duct tape will do the trick on this one.

Hondamag: NICE job on the Tekno parts! Super easy to install and really cleans things up. I'll have your sway bars shipped either tomorrow or wednesday. Sorry I did not get them out today. I left this morning at 6:45am and just got home 30 minutes ago. Been one MELL OF A HESH of a Monday here. I'll get them to you this week I promise. Freaking cool that I just bought your old Rustler on Ebay. What a small world it is.
Northleaf: yes duct tape might not hold that one. I have had numerous connecting rods do that to me. Pretty nasty failure there. Next time to re-sleeve a 3.3, might check into a Davis connecting rod. I have them in both my 3.3's and never had an issue. Much stronger rod and less likely to split like that and trash a complete motor. Sorry man, we've all had this happen at one time!

never said it was cheap......but it works.
Crashed the REVO into a chain link fence because of 2075 throttle servo failure again. Done with factory servo's. Will be in the market for better servo's tomorrow!

pulled my dead 3.3 off today.thinking of going with the lrp .30 bb ,but keep thinking of the ez of going back with a 3.3 got some extreme mods headed for my revo.
Lets see, I s[ent over $100 trying to figure out an electrical issue today so i put in a new reciever, optidrive, optidrive sensor, reciever 1600 mah battery pack and new switch...all to have the same issue i started with....fricken lhs had no idea and just kept running up my bill...grrrrrr and it still is not operational properly....
Took it to the dirt with a couple of his lil buddies.

Brought out my 5310, first real time after the 3.3 powerup. Drove it around for two tankfuls, and couldn't get the truck to stay running for more than 1 second.
Well lets see. The OS .30 Revo got XD piggy back shocks, new E-revo diffs, RB transmission gears, Roll cage completed, welded up, and powder coated, and new rubber. The new project LRP Spec 3 .28 revo showed up today so I took it down to bare chassis, cleaned, and inventoried. Placed orders for MIP CVD's, Skid plates, and some minor upgrades for the chassis. And then finally got the guys at MIP to figure out why the 3.3 Rustler keeps popping axles. Have the HD CVD's coming for it, new steering set-up from RD, Servo, new shell, and modded the hubs.
Now I have 2 BB Revo's, a 3.3 powered Rustler, Picco .26 T-Maxx, and the Brushless Stampeded are all just about ready to go after tomorrow for the races this weekend.

I've had engine failures before but never like the one I had yesterday. Split the con-rod on my brand new 3.3 with about a gallon on it and decided that rather than re-build it right away a new os 21 tm is now on route to my lhs and should be here next weekend. maybe now I'll get some trouble free running out of my truck.

I've had tons of 3.3s ...never had rod failures ... I had bearing failures though... The 21TM is a solid engine... I would suggest getting the THS pipe to milk the engine for all its worth

Sorry bout the crummy cell phone pic the block is still fine and will get rebuilt this winter but for now my money is on the os lol

i wouldnt even bother... in my test and trials i have found bad bearings to be the culprit.. then on further investigation.. i found slightly off alignment in the block where the crankshaft goes.... i would just get a new one instead n rebuilding.. and send it back to traxxas..

Replace a lot of its plastic parts new skid plates and axles
REVO-E is down for now, waiting for my RR tranny gear set and my phaltline tires.
Finally got my os21tm and my 150cc fuel tank ran a little over a quart before my rx bat gave up and what can I say about that motor but heck ya! Glad I switched to a 16/38 Clutch and spur. I can see I'm going to have to put the "Stock" second gear back in the tranny along with the 36 spur, this thing has way too much power for the close ratio and the small tires I run. Used the "Easy Start" for the break-in and may run that pull start later.
These motors rock and now I know what second gear wheelies are and that's with a stock clutch lol.

Switched out the second gear and installed the 36 spur in about 1/2hr after work today and I just can't say enough about this new OS motor for fear of the "mods" but even with the taller 1'st and 2'nd gears it was still pulling 2'nd gear wheelies and even ballooning my ol' T-Maxx Chevrons lol. Too bad my card ran out of room on my camera cause I had her doing long ,straight 2'nd gear wheelies buy the end of tank #7 and she just kept getting better. Can't wait to go and get firewood this weekend hehehehehe,

Little over 1/2 gallon on the os21tm and it just keeps getting stronger.
Wanted to mention that the os21tm gets great fuel economy kinda like running my ol' 2.5 but way more power than my 3.3 ever had.
Any of you out there thinking about 1 for your revo it get's a 10 out of 10 from this rc junky.

Killed my front left suspension arm and crocked the
steel pushbar, but all in all was a giving day on the track.
Tried my new gearing which was from 14/40 to 16/38,
sure sacrified a lil torque but the engine had plenty
to spare. Will continue experimenting with the gearing
til i find something that satisfy my thirst for top speed.
Thrashed another quart through my os21 yesterday and tore down and re-built it today. Only a torn cvd boot and a couple loose pillow balls lucky I got spares lol

Removed the engine and tranny. Bearings in the clutch bell blew out. The reverse gear has been stripped for some time now and I am going to replace it. Cleaned the tranny case and gears/bearings up really well for when the new gear is picked up. Also did the spring "mod" for the brake. Just need to clean the chassis, put it all back together and rip it up again

Jumped it approx 18' vertical and 40' horizontal. Could be off on distance but either way I had know clue they could do this. I cleared all four stone pile by hitting the first on just as second gear kicked in. Omg I never imagined.

Tried to get mine started, OWB started to fail after a while, stock settings and everything, new gas, charged glow igniter, nothng! So I washed her up and put her away from the winter
