X0-1 is pretty sweet... how about a 'mini' version?

    This:

Pretty wicked. Huge (1/7th!), but sick nonetheless: awd, full underfloor and rear diffuser.

    Oh, and 100mph.

Probably with some reasonable amount of control. Nice to see aero being given some attention. Same principles apply (and have an effect) at sub-100mph speeds as well.

Yeah it is, looking at the aero on it i think they were scoping out your rally and went "hey that looks good and like it'll work" I mini version would be sweet, w/ say a 1/10th system in it. I'd like to see a head/taillight kit on it to, would make that body look that much sweeter!

I wouldn't expect the smaller versions to hit 100mph out of the box stock... weight plays a role in keeping that thing on the ground.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

Weight's not the best strategy for handling, however. These both push on the ground with 10,000lbs of force:

One doesn't weigh anywhere near 10k pounds and likely handles far better than the other.

When we see that aero has this huge factory in speed and handling, Imagine how hard it is to make fast boats!
    This is a signature.

It would be nice, but I dont think it will ever make it to a mini, because for the mini they would have to redesign the whole thing, where as the new one made use of 4x4 arms among other parts. not to mention getting a larger motor to fit in the mini under the body and still be aerodynamic.
    Everything overpowered...

    Yes. Fast boats... so sketchy:

Aero isn't easy, particularly when you've got something as dynamic as a boat essentially in low-altitude flight over water to try to work with. That said, blow-overs aren't just for boats:

Agreed... Here's an in-progress peek at a little something I've been working on the last few months:

many still believe a wing on a RC car is just for show. and weight wont keep a fast car on the road it will be the aero. and as for fast rc boats weight won't really matter as the only thing in the water is the prop. lol

I think it would be really neat if Traxxas released XO-1 mini. The could call it the "XO-1/16" haha. But it could be as simple as a rally vxl with high grip tires, full under body, mini version of the body and body posts to fit. Surly withe the aerodynamics you could hit somewhere over 55 mph. They could go even further and make all gearing metal in the kit and use the Velineon 3500 to go even faster.

If they did a mini with a nice underbody set, along with different internal gearing ratio(which is what is holding us back from high speeds in my opinion) we would have a sweet little car
