Yup... Got it for $129 from him plus shipping...

One thing I noticed, it's made of three layers: carbon fiber, fiberglass and carbon fiber? Am I right?

Also, the shock towers are different, these look like carbon fiber to me, only one layer... I'll put some pics later...

While I'm waiting for the 4x12M screws which should arrive soon, I'm whitening all the parts... And, today I got MIP CVDs...

As I couldn't find the complete set for the TRX-3, this is what I did... Long story short, I got a complete set for the Nitro Hawk/SRT (#1217) and also two dogbones for the TRX-3 (#1058)... So, now I have a complete set for the TRX-1...

Wasn't cheap I can tell you that... I saw it on eBay yesterday night, Bob Stormer listed them and after a few emails we agreed on a price...

Yup, that price shipped... But, I think is a good price for both parts considering I want to finish the TRX-1 soon and they are very hard to find... Last two times I got this same bumper I paid $20 each...

02/25/12: This is how the TRX-1 is looking today...

Servo mounts and front bumper are going through the whitening process as they arrived later than the other parts...

Shocks and motor mount are ready to be anodized in blue next week if everything goes as planned...

And, I use a 3.25mm drill to make the mounting holes for the battery trays bigger and used self-tapping screws and now they no longer bend in the middle...

I guess by the end of March or maybe sooner it will be finished...

Looks great! Did you have a hard time finding the front knuckles/axles? They were one of the hardest parts for me to find, and I barley found them. They were with a mixed lot on ebay, displayed in one big fuzzy picture. lol I could barely make them out, and paid an arm and a leg for them. (like $30!!!! ) But it's the only set I have seen for sale in the past 4-5 months.

Can't wait until mine is finished!

Thanks! No, this one was easier than my other TRX-1... Almost all the parts are from early 2011 and only a few from late 2011/early 2012, but to be honest with you, didn't know I had them until I started looking for them... I have so many boxes with vintage parts that sometimes I end buying the same thing twice! In fact, I believe I have at least one more set of the front knuckles/axels...

Well Daniel, you've done it again! The Double D TRX-1 has me at a loss for words.

I'm so completely beyond jealous, that it hurts. When does Daniel's RC Museum open? I want to be the first to take the virtual tour, lol.

It kills me that you live sooo far away,I'd really like to see your complete collection, in person. The photos are awesome but seeing them all, up close and personal, would be so much better.

Hahaha, thank you Marv! I appreciate your kind words! You know, I got a Sony full HD camcorder a few weeks ago, I promise I'll take a very nice video of each truck and all of them together as soon as I'm done with them, it might take a few more months but I'll get there... I don't have enough free time like before, and also enough space, tomorrow I have to buy some kind of stackable shelves because I'm running of space in the bathroom... I have to make some room for an XO-1 and a 1/6 Monster Buggy

If you buy many more, you are going to have to rent a second apartment.

One to live in and the second to store your collection.

Or you could send me a few,I promise I'll take good care of them for you[insert fiendish laugh here].

I'm sad... I just checked my stock TRX-1 and it's becoming yellowish again... After all the hours I spent to leave it cotton white, it looks like the chemicals inside the plastic will turn it into yellow again sooner or later... Looks like my other trucks are going the same path... I have them in the bathroom with no sun light, and it's dark almost all day there, so, bad luck I guess... Good thing is that if I soak them in hydrogen peroxide they will turn white much faster than before, I already tried...

The wing wire and buttons, and the tranny cover don't show on the video...

I told YouTube to fix the videos and they look funny now... Also, the trucks are really white, but the yellow light doesn't help much as usual... I'll take some pictures with sunlight...

I just noticed, the two screws on the rear shock collars are missing and the wing mount on the stock TRX-1 is missing too... They should be inside some tupperware...
