i have a problem with figuring out a spot to put my reciver and esc... should i just have a straight chassis top without the indents on the side or just mount them in front?

Are you going to use dual servos? Though Im not sure what to do with that extra space at the front, it might come in useful in the future

If i cant get the job done locally, then Is it possible for you to do that for me?

I wouldnt post overnight from the US, that tends to cost a very large sum lol
I dont mind paying for whatever you would normally charge for the task, and standard shipping (i usually get usps priority)
    Is that ok?

Since your doing a completely custom build. Could you do a 1/10 servo mod so servo options are unlimited and you'll have a harder time breaking it. Just my thought.

    The entire chassis has shrunk?
When i was printing out my design for a hard copy. i noticed that the prints were 'shrunk' as well, out by a significant margain, so i had to adjust it all, wonder if its a similar issue. Can the software guys sort that out?

Im going to go local with my cuts, but i have to wait till after new years. I recently got back from a trip, so i just got the chance to make some changes on my design. I'm going with 3mm carbon fiber for the top plate and lower plate, but for the kick up and down bulkhead mounts, i have that as 3mm stainless steel so i can bend it for kick up and down. for extra strength, i'm going to use chassis brace's at front and rear.

    have a look

looks nice yeah the servo mount is to small( the whole thing) the holes need to be 3.5 more mm apart and the spot where it goes 1.5mm wider and 2mm longer

I tried a sample of carbon fiber and it scratches and then tears/peels easily. i would use aluminium for bottom and carbon for top and nice idea

Sorry I haven't been keeping you updated. But i am on my 3rd version of the chassis. the first was way to small and the second needed a few tweaks and adjustments. I have decided to use m3 12mm flat head and button head screws. I am using 6mm hex 20mm length standoffs. When putting in all the screws to create the chassis i recommend putting them in halfway and steadily progressing with each one. Also i am countersinking all my chassis screws for looks and handling.

    Hey Summit,
Can you send me a copy of the CAD file? I myself am i draftsman and CNC programmer, and i was just going to start working on a dwg of the chassis. This would save me a tremendous amount of time.

Also if anyones wants these files converted to different formats, i can help you out.

Yea i have a thread going as well. Dont know if you seen. Im starting out by cutting it out of wood. Haha. Got one version so far. End goal is to have a polycarb clear chassis. But having alot of fun creaating a wooden one first.

Yea i forgot that it was longer, and i forgot how much longer it was untill it was sitting next to my stock chassis.

No problem man, what format do you want? Im running AutoCAD 2011. Not sure what final stand offs i want. Im waiting for my lipos to come in so i have a final hight. But your sizes seem pretty good. How thick is your mat'l?

i dont care on the format i will just convert it. I am using 1/8 aero space aluminum. my lipos are 17 mm thick so i thought that 18mm standoffs would be a bit of a squeeze haha

Ook, yea that is pretty snug. Maybe bump it up a little. I was thinking of having a large compartment and lining it.

Heres a link to the DWG.
