Hopefully your swami gets to you quicker than I got mine. From order to arrival took two months. It's a great wheelie bar though, and I would buy one for my other 4 p2des if it weren't for the wait. Should look sweet on your truck. Did you go with the full brace edition with the laid back bend and Traxxas aluminum wheels?

I hope so my friend. That would be no bueno at two months. When did he charge u? at moment of order, or when it was being shipped? Im gettin the Laid back one with Traxxas wheels. Cant get the full brace cuz it doesnt have the skids under the rusty. Its all chassis.

Nice work, nice build, keep up the good work. This is a great thread.

I've never heard of Tenshock motors and the only thing I could find about it was a listing on ebay. Do you have any experience with them?

And I love me some Swami bars... I have 3 now. But you will need to clean up the bar itself because they're shipped with manufacturers ink on them.

Its okay man, Ur young. Im 27, more along "a" Dads age. At that age an upgrade was a rare thing as money was not nearly the same. My Stampede took me 6 months to build. But I did it the same way, I started buying parts, than started putting them together over the course of 6 months. But I thought u had a 4x4 slash. . Thats a good rig, id be happy with it. Especially since u can also turn it into anything, like a Stampede, and including the Stampede.

Lol. Had a lapse there and forgot about the chassis of the rusty. I paid for the wheelie bar with paypal at the exact same time I ordered it. After about 4-5 weeks I sent an email to see what was up and a couple days later I got an email saying it was gonna be shipped the following day. Then it took 3-4 weeks for it to arrive. When I ordered it there was a message stating that the post office wasn't close, so it would take a few days for it to get shipped out. Not sure what went down that made it take so long, but no matter how much I love the swami, I'll probably never order another just because of that. I'm used to shipping taking upwards of 3 weeks to a month to arrive, (some eBay shippers only take 8-9 days) but that swami one was a little much. I coulda hand carved one with a dull butter knife in that amount of time. Lol

money isnt an issue? Arent u like 15 years old? Money is an issue for the oldest/wealthiest of us..

If money is not an issue, how come u dont buy ur own and buy every upgrade u want right away as it arrives than put it together. Im not talking about being poor and starving, im talking about the realities of this hobby.

U had just said a few threads before that u have two broken RCs u have to worry about first.... Now ur saying money isnt an issue.... so which is it?

On your rustler, how did you make the JConcepts Raptor body fit with the STRC shock tower? I just got the Jconcepts body
and it wont fit correctly over the strc rear aluminum shock tower

Been a sec since I did an update, But here we go.

The JConcepts Raptor SVT body, Really doesnt like the STRC rear tower. it binds up against the rear, and wont let it seat properly all the way since the rear shock points are alittle wider. If u push it down, u can get a pin on, but that would be a disaster on probably the first time it flipped over on its lid. For that reason, I picked up a RPM rear tower, at least to run with this body.

Also changed out the plexi glass esc mount, to add a normal black one back on. Wasn't the right color with the other red, so for now im gonna keep the black, and il see whats up in the future. Also added some red touches to the tower, to tie it in.

Also... I have alot of extra suspension pins. Standard ones from Part 3640, And a few extra longer ones from what I believe to be the Emaxx...

They are longer, but looked to be stronger, as they seemed to be a hardened steel. I found out soon, I was right. They are stiffer and way tough.

These were what I had, the bottom two are stock for the Rear A-Arms where they mount to the Tranny. The one of the top is same width, but longer.

I cut them down to size, and rounded off the ends (which I like to do all, so they slide in easier, and without taking any material away as it does so)

The after effect. I left them longer, because im gonna be threading the end, And getting a lock nut on there. Ive had issues with these backing out on runs before. This way, they wont be able to.

Nice thing is also, they had a tiny little extra threading on the suspension pins. Allowing me to put these Red Washers there.

Overall new view of the vehicle. Although the rear chrome/silver STRC tower isnt there, Its still balanced with the Tranny, and front tower. This is a better set-u either way, and wont grind away at the alum tower, on a roll over.

Btw... My shocks are off, Cuz I can not locate my 2 bottles of Losi shock oil for the life of me. I put them down somewhere last time I had stuff out, and cannot locate em for days... lol. So I gotta go pick some new stuff up, but thats why the shock are off and sittin next to the vehicle instead of, on it.

Another fine build with unreal attention to detail. I just love looking at your build pics wish i took more of my own. Anyway I saw this build and thought to myself what a great idea using up a lot of parts from the Stampede. I now know what I'm going to do with all my leftovers. My Stampede is almost at a point where I think I'm finished with it for now. So today i was at my LHS when out of the corner of my eye I spot a black rustler skid plate and some other odds and ends. Now it begins as I have time I will acquire the parts I need and have an on road car also as I like painting up car bodies.

Keep up the great work man I look forward to seeing the progress

    Thanks guys!

TraxxasTues: They are from GS Racing, and Racers Edge. U can get em all, in different colors from Racersedge.com

Scuba: Thanks dude, I totally wish I had a good RC neighbor. Still tryn to talk some of them around me.

Street-Freaks: Thanks man, I appreciate it. Except it wasnt from left over parts though I had purchased a big parts lot, and bought someone out from the hobby. I used those parts, and parts I purchased seperatly. The parts I had left over from the Stampede build, I put into a 2nd pede

I Still have a ton of different upgrades though that "could" go one this one.... But I havent put it on yet.. Might leave this one all stock, and maybe sell it as a roller. I have ALOT of stock parts, almost enough to put together two, more like these.. So I wanted to use em, and things like phillips screws.

The Rusty was built from all new parts, purchased seperatly for it. Stuff I used, that is similar to my Pede. I got two off. Like the washers, and all the STRC parts. I just got more of em for the Rusty

Ponie: Thats such a small hidden thing. Especially since il be running 48p a bunch and it will be hidden.

NYBandit: If I do high Speed Runs over 70mph, than possibly. For the moment il be bashin at 70mph and under. Thats why I got the G-Locs. I will also be tapn em, and they have a rubber webbing to get rid of balloning.

All good, I have a RPM gear cover sittin on standby ready to go. I also have like 3 stock ones. Im a big believer in covering it up, although alot of people ride without em, thats not me. Even though she wont see any dirt, I stil wil spend the extra to go RPM so that dust, and debris, and small rocks gets in there. IMO its like why not. As for off-roading, I think its a big time must.

2nd best looking red alum. build I have seen. The only thing that worries me is the battery mounts and the possibility of them puncturing a soft battery. I know it seems like a long shot, but you never know with these cars...Love the look of the raptor btw.

2nd best? lol. Jk. Thanks man. They work great actually, They dont have any sharp edges at all.... But, I think it could happen possibly with soft packs. But I do run just Lipo Hard packs, so dont think it can with hard packs. But I see what ya mean. I do have the same battery mounts on my Pede too, and so far so good with the Pede also. No punch outs or damage to the soft packs. Good so far

The first was completely red aluminum (frame, a arms and everything). Although I really like the raptor body.

I am going to be getting the protrac front arms only and I am not sure what turn buckles I will need for the camber and steering. Can someone give me the right part numbers. I want the red like loot is using.

just want to be like loot. hahaha
