My NEU MERV build

Thanks...I've always wanted to place it in this location on my rally before but just replaced it wth a smaller switch instead. I'm glad I did this on the MERV because it is a perfect location........I picked up the stands from a member on the rc crawler forum last year, you can find them on ebay as well.

i like the collection you have there

i think you might get clearance issues with those tires and the tbone front bumper
i had to trim down mine to prevent it ripping off the sand paw paddles, a few minutes on the dremel and its all sweet

Nice job on the trimming the bumpers

I actually have 2-3mm clearance with the speed hawgs, plus they are strapped so I won't have to worry about it rubbing. I wish I had a beach closer to me I would love to pick up another set of paddles for it.

Had the chance to take this on a speed run and was able to get 57mph with 31/50 gearing using my new 3s. I'll have to try it again when its not as windy with a 31/45 gearing. I also want to upgrade to a digital servo since it couldn't keep it's center setting. Overall I love this setup..

nice mate, i wish i had a radar of my own (boss won't let me "borrow" his lol)
it did sound quite windy, have you ever tried the proline slipstream body? might add in a mph or two

The tires are great and gripped well on cold surface. I love the fact that this wheel/tire combo is helping the truck stay planted on hard turns. I'm running the BOOST 3s 45c batteries in parallel.

I actually have a slipstream body that I can use, however I need to move the wiring to fit it, plus I have to go back to the stock posts. I'll try the Boost **** 3s which should be out next week and just run one battery to save weight.

i can't say i know much about neu motors, but its a 380 size right? can't be super thirsty, plus your using high discharge lipos
give it a shot, see what happens

1200 watt motor, that means 100 amp burst capable

Thats not to say it will see that much load but I'm betting a single pack struggles

Thanks...I picked it up from a crawler forum member, but I have seen it on ebay as well.

I'm getting around 20 minutes or so on speed runs (hard braking and full throttle full time). As far as the price, I don't want to know how much I spent

How did you mount the esc to the sheet metal? Can you post some pics of the sheet metal installed? Are you using different body posts too?

Thanks man...I used double sided tape to mount the ESC and slid the mount where the stock ESC would go (which is also taped at the bottom to the chassis).

I had spare SCX10 Mounts that I used which is a perfect fit.

Indeed a marvelous build.

You put quite some effort in that superb and clean wiring. That NEU1112 motor is a dream. Would take that over any BigBlock at all times.

I think that body is a ProLine F-150 SVT Raptor with a nice paintjob.

Thanks fellas! The NEU motor is definitely a beast and has plenty of power for the MERV. I posted a quick video somewhere on this thread to give you an idea. I picked the 1.5D model since it has the highest KV rating that can handle 3s, but I would check the specs again since they change it all the time. It was a quick install, just shorten the shaft and trim a little on the shock mount.

...And yes it is the same body that CMD-J posted the link for. I think I'm addicted to Raptor bodies

For the neu the shaft was cuted how? sand it? or dremel it with the circular sander?
just dont understand the little trim on the shock mount?

And the big question, the pinions? the neu has a round shaft... how do you hould th pinions? and what pinions!?
ok, AWESOME picture you got there! i love the merv with those bodys and the rear wing coming out!

Just 2 more question:
- how is the handling one those bodies against the stock ones? any diference?
-The mamba max pro is sensored and sensorless, but what amps shes got? do you know? anyone knows?
