Exclamation Is my 5 channel reciever and summit lights frying my throttle servo!?

I have a revo that i bought from a guy that was a roller and i have built it up and now have a ofna picco .28 engine and have put the new 5 channel reciever and transmitter along with it....when i first ran the truck for about 15 minutes it killed the throttle servo....so i figured it was just bad so i bought a waterproof 2065 and installed....havent really used it since then til a couple of weeks ago and i ran it for another 15-20 minutes the throttle stuck and ran way out in a field when it finally flipped itself....so i figured one of the other steering servos may of been tryin to glitch or something and thought it could of affected it somehow....so i ordered a waterproof servo 2075 and some front and rear bumpers with the lights from a summit and ran it yesterday for the first time since a month ago....when i got it started the motor was perfect but no throttle servo action.....so i had a replacement servo from a buddy and put it in and everything ran fine....so my question is my 5 channel reciever shorting the wires out or whats the deal!? I have read forum after forum and everyone else seems to have no issues so now i am considering maybe my reciever is just a factory malfunction....but I'm almost to the point of just wanting to give up because I cant figure it out....so if anyone has any suggestions or thoughts please feel free and speak up.....thanks for any further help or suggestions you bring to the table....

The new traxxas radios are a lot like those of high quality ones these days. Minus the LCD screen and extra knobs and buttons.

I would say your most likely got one of the 4 channels set up incorrectly on the radio.

Traxxas has factory resets for these radios programmed into themselves so you might just need to reset the radio to the Revo setting.

From there you can set up the throttle channel to the right endpoints and forget about it. The other channels are strictly on off so I do not think they have end point adjustments anyway. Might want to check though...

    See link:

Oh and to prevent a run away link your radio to the reciever with the radio in full reverse.
ENJOY the hobby, don't HATE it.
