I have gone through a lot of bearings lately. 3 in the transmission, and 2 in the axle carriers. Does anybody have any advice?
(And by the way I'm new at this)

Due proper maintenance....
Love how Noobs ask a ?, then say you're wrong
sure proper maintenance will make it last a little longer
but a properly designed bearing will last a reasonable amount of time without maintenance
how long have you had the car?

I have had it since the begining of the summer.
Is wd40 good for them?

Some people love wd40, i think it is crap. It is a solvent and a lubricant

i agree the only redeeming quality of wd40 is it dissipates water but so does an air compressor. it also thins grease imo.
just my 2 cents
I don't know how many packs of use my car has but I've had it since April and all bearings are still nice and smooth. What kind of surface do you run yours on?
The Super Derecho
surface affects bearing life too

if you're getting some grit or stuff jammed in the gears (or hair... oh man, hair can mess up bearings something bad...) it might jam the bearing and just cause it to heat up when it's supposed to be spinning, making friction.
i had a melted axle because some hair got between the wheel and the bearing. it looked like i'd taken a lighter to it on purpose... needless to say, ruined the bearing.
which is why when i become president/oppressive leader of the world i'll ban long hair for fear of ruining my little truck like that again...

I just replaced my first set of bearings today since I've owned the truck. The small knuckle bearings went bad.
