    E-maxx Brushless Build + Shock Question

    Hi All,

    I was tired of always screwing around with my nitro t-maxx and I though I'd convert it to an e-maxx brushless as I had enough parts between my existing maxx and revo. Halfway through I thought - why not build a new one (not the cheapest option) but thanks to previous forum posts I grabbed the bits I needed from mostly e-bay and away we went. The build so far is:
    • Stock chassis and battery mounts;
    • e-Revo / E-maxx brushless diffs;
    • RPM Arms;
    • RPM Bulkhead Braces (do I need these if I'm using the RPM bu
    • Big Bore Shocks (I'm planning to use 50W oil);
    • MMM ESC and 2200motor;
    • Dubro Wheels;
    I've got two options for the springs:
    • RC Raven Progressive Rate; or
    • Integy stiff springs (blue ones (20% stiffer).

    Any thoughts on the springs?

    Cheers,

    Howie

    They seemed to go straight in. Haven't actually driven it yet

    Right... I have another dumb newbie problem.

    I've installed the rear toelinks, everything looks good but whenever the suspension arms go up and down the axle carriersswing from side to side. I've got my t-maxx right next door, everything looks the same but the axle carrier is swinging. Is it something to do with the RPM arms (I can't see how)?

    You installed the axle carriers on the wrong side.
    No slipper/tall gearing/power = broken parts.

    They need to be swapped left to right- the part where the rod end connects to the axle carrier/knuckle should sit low, rather than high as it were.
