    Shock Rebuild Questions

    I am new to the RC world and i am trying my first shock rebuild. I thought i did everything by the book but i guess not. I wanted stiffer suspension in the rear so i bought 55wt oil and gold rate springs. Since i changed the oil and the springs it sags way more then it ever did before like it barely holds it self up with out batteries in it. Did i do something wrong? I thought it would be stiffer with that set up. Did i not get the correct oil and springs to make it stiffer? Any help would be great

    Heavier oil will slow the shock movement. Did you change the preload with the twist thingys on the shock?

    I tried setting the preload all the way to its stiffest point and it still sags really bad. Is their something i am missing here. I was at the understanding that this set up would be stiffer than stock. Was i told the wrong information or is it something i did wrong?
