T-Bone Chassis Brace & Bumpers Installed

After having a major collision breaking my chassis, front bulkhead, steering assembly, and aluminum toe link, it was time for some chassis reinforcement. This is a must have modification that I should have done awhile ago. Everything fits great and it's pretty light weight.

i love my t-bone, for extra protection, of breaking both bulkheads and my chassis, i added the DP aluminum chassis braces as well

Good to see how that fits. I have one ready to go on but am waiting to get my RPM arms and traxxas CVD's on first so I only have to install it once. Looks good. And looks strong.

love mine, saved my merv a number of times. jimbo74, the rear braces, do you think i can use them with the castle 5700kv motor?

i am not sure.... but if it fits with the stock shock mounts, then yes... thease actually replace needing the stockers, and its an extra half in further back, behind where the stockers were

Are those Exotek big bores? I was looking at those but went with GTR's because of the $20 lower price tag...

Fastmachine im guessing you have wheel spacers on your merv. If so how do they handle and which ones are they. Love the wide stance. Really nice looking merv.

Yes, they are. Awesome shocks.

I don't have wheel spacers, it definitely looks like it though. It's the wheel that has a very wide offset. They're RC4WD Rock Ripper beadlocks. The difference in handing and stability is huge. Thanks.

+1, i just installed my t-bones yesterday after breaking the chassis and rear bulkhead. it doesn't weigh all that much and the 2 bumpers giving much better protection. it doesn't seem to affect speed or performance, but gives that extra confidence when a jump goes gnarly.

which aluminum knuckles are you sporting? lots of debate on which ones to get . . . i think i am leaning toward the gpm knuckles. heard hr had some quality issues and rpm round out after awhile and pop out.

nope they are fine.

Those tires are indifferent to directional installation. Some on here claim noticeable gains with one way or the other but I think in the end it's up to the users asthetic preference.

I'm using GPM knuckles which are great.

my rpm left front kept popping out too . the gpm unit is great, strong and light
