Why can't I get my exc to let me use a different tx?

I'm up camping and I left one of the tx at home, the brushless slash has a vel 3s esc. I'm trying to use a different slash tx with it. I can't get it to bind, I got the book out and for the life of me it won't bind.

Then I went to the exc manual on here and made sure I was doing it right, NO JOY, any ideas, it's was totally fine with the other tx yesterday.

If so, you're not calibrated....

I'm trying to bind it, the directions say turn on tx, push and hold exc till it turns red, then on the first red blink full the trigger full forward, then you should get 2 red blinks and you push full reverse, I'm not getting the blinks, it goes right to the mode blinks, you know the 3 different run modes, what about a complete reset? how do I start fresh? I'm trying to use a revo tx is that an issue do you think?

From what I have been able to find is that the (newer) black 2.4ghz transmitter is not compatible with the reciever for the (older or original) grey 2.4ghz transmitter. I am not sure what you have but I know the new vxl slash uses the black controller.

If you do get it bound and the steering works but the throttle does not and the esc is flashing green yoiu will have to adjust the throttle trim. I can't remember if the multifunction knob on the 2.4ghz radio is set to throttle trim as a default or not also different models use different modes in the transmitter aswell. The programming guide should tell you wich models use which modes and how to program them. I hope this helps.

Sounds like you haven't bound the tx to the rx... you're missing step 1 here.

You first need to get the radio to talk to the receiver, once you've got that, you can calibrate the ESC. What you have described is the calibration of the ESC... but if you haven't binded (bound?) the radio to the receiver, you won't be able to complete that step.

Look up the manual and follow the directions for binding the radio to a new receiver.

Thanks for the try you guys, I'm trying to bind and it's not binding, lol I have the same tx at home that is bound fine, just left with out it. Got 7 trucks up here, 3 slashes, just figured I could take a different slash tx and rebind it to the brushless one, and it's giving me a hard time binding. Do I need to do a master clear or something? before rebinding, I have the manual and I'm going over and over step by step, I'll look up clear all settings and try again., Thanks guys

There is also a forum for transmitters in here as well it is down towards the bottom of the page. I never knew that it was there till today.
