I didnt find the first 6 items really neccessary, but if you already have them, thats cool. I made a mounting plate for the mmp from an old driver license. Just screw it to the chassis, credit card type works good too. Use double sided 3m sticky tape. If you havent bought those items, use your money to get the mips up front and back. Reciever is a good buy. Also get some locktight for the threads on the mips and pinion.

STRC Motor mount doesnt look like anything special

Get one with a larger bearing that actually provides a benefit, rather than bling (Kingheadz etc...)

Slipper parts are slightly incorrect, you need #5351 and #5352R (better option than 5352X if you can find one in stock)

You will want other gearing choices if you are just planning to bash

22/50 will only be good for speed runs on tarmac

Reccomend you also get the 5mm rotor option for the motor

    Cheers

Start with 18/54 gearing and have 17, 19 and 20 as spares, pitch is 32p (mod 8)

2400 has a 3mm rotor and can be upgraded with a 5mm rotor repair kit (Castle part number 011-0025-00)

Not to say Crusey is incorrect but, the 5mm shaft on the 2400 will run you $65. I simply let fate do its work, yesit snapped but, Castle replaced mine as a warranty issue. It wont cost you $65 but it will leave you with out for a few days if you don't have back up motor. I'm a patient man with $65 extra dollars lol.

Agree mate, the price is a bit steep, especially when the actual motor cost has risen sharply recently

Apparently there may have been a re-tooling of the rotor design as well

I purchased one but havent installed it yet, will report if I notice any difference

The gentleman I spoke with from castle said the rise in cost for the newer 4 pole motors is directly due to the material used for the shafts has risen very high per lbs. Its not just steel or hardened steel, it's supposed to be stronger. This is the reason they thought the smaller shafts would work.
I can't wait to read about someone changing the shaft over to 5mm, the magnets are very strong. It takes a really good pull to get it out, and it takes a strong grip to keep the new shaft from slamming back into the motor. I was ready for it, I was playing with the magnets before putting it back together. Check this out......don't put the shafts anywhere near each other lol, they have some serious pull.

    Sorry about getting off topic
