    Angry Brake problems

I just got a 3.3 tmaxx on ebay. It runs great, the only thing is after i brake. the bar that the servo pulls to brake stays in the brake possition, and the brake stays on some what. When i move the bar back and forth with my hand it is hard to move. As you can tell i am new to this. The dics brake heats up very hot aslo. anybody understand what im talking about? and have any solutions??????

Sounds like the brake cam may have junk in it, causing it to bind. Take it out of the tranny and clean it out. Also, take the spring out of a ball point pen, cut 2 small sections, and put on the bolt between the brake pads.

pen spring to me is too weak, try if you have a spare throttle retun spring, just stretch it to were it has gaps and cut it to its length. also you might have to set your throttle servo to "O"on your controller.

Mr. h, the ball point spring should have enough strength to hold the brake pads apart. If your requires more strength, perhaps there is some binding in your brake linkage, or your linkage may need some adjusting.

Yeah I've always used just ball point pen springs for my brakes. I have spares in my box just in case i loose or need another for something else.

Thanks Terry when I get my Maxx together I will do your spring method. I remember seeing someone on youtube talk about it.

no binding or any ajusting on the linkage, you only need just a little bit of spring to gap the caliper brake.
