Ill be picking up my first slash this coming sunday. Any suggestions for upgrades, preventative maintenance etc...???
Lipo suggestions are welcome also pinion and spur. I was told to put a blade 400 tail boom over the driveshaft.

You'll get more responses posting on the 4x4 forum.
Just drive it and wait until something breaks.That is to say to drive it without smashing into curbs, mailboxes, cars, etc It's alot more durable than most people think.

The tail boom works okay, but it is better to get a piece of neoprene (wetsuit material) an glue it over the hole where the center driveshaft come out the front. Then cut a small hole for the driveshaft to go through. That will keep everything out. Other than that I think the parts that break really depend on your driving style. I would also recommend making some rear mudflaps out of old inner tube if you are going to drive on gravel. If your rear shock are unprotected then they will get beat up by gravel coming from the front. The neoprene cover, mudguards and RPM a arms are the only upgrades I have on my ultimate.
