Here is something that may interest U, I mounted a 3 1/2 inch brushless fan
in the roof of mine, over the motor an ESC... Blows cool air from the outside
directly onto the motor an ESC, an its powered by the non-BEC battery, draws
about 90 mah at 9 volts... Seems to work rather well too, keeps thing much
cooler under there, also much cleaner as the there is always a positive air-flo
coming out from under the body, so not near as much trash seems to find its
way in... I lowered the whole body & fan assembly about a half-inch to compensate
for the additional weight of the fan being added up high... I made the outer shield
from .050 styrene sitting on 1/2 inch standoffs... All-in-all this seems to work quite
well for me, cost next to nothing to do, hasn't hindered performance any noticeable
amount, as well as keeping things "under the hood" a little cooler and cleaner... I'd
post a pic or 2 if I could figure out how to on this forum, but I haven't mastered that
    yet... hehe

Tnx Jamann, Yeah it kinda looked like that was the only way to get pics on this forum... All the
forums I normally deal with will take them directly from Ur computer... I have one model RR site
that I can store pics on-site, I just copied the pics to the onsite storage, now we'll see if we
can make them available for this site...

Well I can get one over here, but not 2 on the same page...

    holy crap man, that's genius.

You didn't copyright that idea or anything did you? I'll order that tonight. Extra airflow could only be beneficial running around in this sandy middle eastern desert.

No, its not copyrighted or patented, hehe... The way people around here whine about heat, I
can't believe that nobody else has tried this, or something very similar... There R probably more
appropriate fan units out there though, this was just some old 12 volt fan I had laying around
that I mounted in there... Just make sure its a brushless fan to keep down the possible RFI
problems... Needless to say, this works fine for me, it may not be suitable for others... So much
    for my disclaimer... hehe
