Don't know if it is allowed, but messing with my profile last night I was able to upload a (very small) avatar. I have pm'ed a moderator to see whats up.

If you are allowed, this is how you do it:
First get a pic from your photobucket account.
Shrink it to 30x30 pixels or less.
Copy the direct link.
Go to the trx forums and click forum actions, then edit profile.
Click edit avatar.
Click use custom avatar.
Erase the http//www. in the box and then paste the direct link in.
Click save changes, and you should have your own little avatar for all to see 8°))

I'm pretty sure you have to be a Turnbuckle.
I'm not seeing 'edit avatar'

I noticed rag6 suddenly had an avatar just now- checked my profile page and sure enough I had the option to upload a postage stamp sized avatar. 30x30 is a little stingy really when 150x150 is more the norm on other forums & it doesnt hurt page loading times ( unless you have an animated avatar gif image ).

Dont like dinner... sweet... I wish it could be just a HAIR bigger though.. 30X30 is so tiny non of my pics really work... gotta take one specifically for this.

Just to add to Rag6's how to... you can also choose to upload the avatar instead of hosting it and using the direct link... thats how i did it anyway.

30x30 is ok I guess. Its just that way so that the mods can say "mines bigger than yours" haha lol!

This has been here for a while. Maybe since the forum update. I tried before but was unsuccessful. Don't know if I was doing something wrong, or if that it was not turned on yet...

I'm gonna give it a try as soon as I'm feeling energetic enough to take a pic, upload it, resize it, and copy and paste it. This may take a few weeks.

Well, it worked but it's awful tiny. Maybe I'll replace my location with a description of what my avatar pic is.LOL.

I just checked again... the allowable size has just been updated to 100X100 pixels... which is a MUCH more realistic size... SWEET.

Awesome. I've seen the Edit avatar button before but it wouldn't allow you to do anything.

Here's something for you all to check out. See if it will allow you to do animated GIF images.

hay guys.. anybody noticed this ? yesterday the avatar maximum pix's were 30X30 , now it's possible to go up to 100X100

I think there should be tiers.
1000+ post = 30x30
2000+ post = 50x50
3000+ post = 75x75
4000+ post = 100x100

Anything over 100x100 I think would be to much maybe 125 max.

Very cool though.

No no the tier thing was just an idea of what i think would be cool. Its not actually in place on the forums. Just an idea.
