    gearing on a 2wd slash?

    i have a traxxas slash 2wd vxl, i am just a basher i don't race what should i gear mine if i have pro line trenchers on all 4 tires, all i do is drive on gravel roads?

    are they the sc trenchers or 2.8 trenchers.if you just drive on roads and stay out of the tall grass you can run 20/86. thats what i run on my backyard dirt track and road and you still will have tons of low end torque and good speeds.stock is 19/20 but i never ran that on the vxl just when i had the brushed motor..IMO 19/90 would be too low of a gear ratio

    they are the 2.8 trenchers, so i should go about 20/86?

    Best thing to do is to get the temps of your motor and esc after about a 5 min bash. then re-gear accordingly. What are you looking for better acceleration or higher top speed? Also what pinion and spur gear is in it now? Also what Batt Type? Lipo or NiMh?

    i want more higher top speed more, 19/86 is in it right now and i have NiMh.
