    better batteries?

    I have a traxxas shalsh 2X4 brushed and i just bought a vxl system for it, i have 3 bateries they are all 8.4v 3000mah how long will my run time be if i use them? i live in the cold and my batteries will eventualy crap out what kinda batteries should i get next?

    Get some Lipo batteries. Just keep in mind, you get what you pay for so try not to buy the least expensive ones! Everyone has different opinions on what brands they like. Personally, I use Venom lipos. They have been good to me!

    well what is the diference between nimh and lipo? and will the cold put a beating on the lipo batteries?

    The colder weather will help with any heat issues so you'll be ok!
    Lipo is a different technology of battery. They put out more power (= more speed) and tend to give you more runtime! Make sure you also get a quality charger made for lipos! 99% of the chargers will charge your nimh batteries also!
    Depending on what brands you go with, it could cost between $100 and $200 for a quality setup. If you ask anyone... Lipo's are WELL WORTH IT!
