what is everybody using for a body to fit there merv with a big block setup? im kinda wanting a proline slipstream body, but didnt know if it will fit because the motor sticks up more.

Nope, a slipstream won't work, you'll have to cut it. Get a Baja Bug body or stick to the stock one.
Just accelerate, and only good will come.
gotcha.. thanks. they need to come out with some different bodies for the merv..
I'm using the stock, also the bug body has plenty of room.

Slipstream fits with a lot of dremel work... there is not much left of the back end when you finally have enough clearance. lol
I see a big hole in the body market... just waiting for some manufacturer to step up to the plate and make money.
The bug body is pretty cool... it is just round enough that it will flip you back on your wheels just about every time. (from what I have read, anyway... the bug body is my first aftermarket body I am going to order)
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.
i talked to a guy a proline and said they should have more bodies for the merv and he said they r working on it.. i said i would like to have like the silverado truck and the gmc topkick body for the merv, that they already make for the full size revo. so who knows if it will happen but we will see i guess
well i ordered a proline bug body today and i guess will have to wait for them to make something else. thanks for the advice
You will like it, it's a nice body

The Slip stream works great, and you barely loose anything when you cut it. No dremel required either. An exacto knife and lexan scissors are all that is required. Take a look.
I traced the back of the motor can onto a piece of sheet styrene, then added 1/16th of an inch all around for clearence. Once I had a perfect circle, I held it to the inside of the body and scribed around it from the outside. As you can see, it worked perfectly. It only added 15 minutes to the total trim time. But I rather enjoy the results.
For reference, here is a slipstream without the big block.

Of course the dremel is not required to do lexan work... it just makes it easier!
You did a spectacular job!
I was referring to a hack job compared to yours... the whole "bowl" area was totally removed.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.
Looking good maus, definitely the slip will be next on my list.

Wow that looks great, Maus. I didn't go into detail when I carved mine out. I just cut the whole back area out haha. Laziness?
I may steal your cutout design when I get my new slipstream painted. Looks 10x better.

Even Jacob's cutout was better than the hack job I saw... lol
Now if I could just find it....
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.
