Need help on project truck

I have a tmaxx 3.3 that i keep having problems with my carburator. i bought it from a friend but the hsn was stripped out so i robbed another carb off of my 2.5 tmaxx. Apon tunning the 3.3 the hsn again stripped out. My question is there any aluminumn carburator i could put on there to fix this problem. I just got into rc and im not to sure about things also i ws looking at making more power and was wondering if a dual turbo head ( http://rbmods.net/rbshop/index.php?t...product_id=228 ) would help or hinder performance. also if i get this head would i need a different aftermarket stock size carburator.

You could get another stock composite carb and turn the HSN with some finesse....

O.S. 11k carb or
ofna force .26 or
RB 523 which is a 8mm carb so more fuel and air more power
I think the ofna carbs are 6.4 or 7mm
but all these are direct drop ins or
get another 3.3 carb and take it easy on the screwing. You can snag these on ebay for around $23-$27 if you look well.

Try Nitro House.com for the other carbs but be ready to shell out $67-$88.

Going through 4 carbs is not a Traxxas or plastic-construction issue, it is a user issue. Stripping carbs is rare in of itself and most people here don't have issues with theirs after multiple gallons of use--myself included.
As for more power, you could go with the dual-stage air filter and Traxxas SC or DC resonator, or THS pipe. For real power gains you may want to look at ABmods, RBmods or other engine modders or go with a bigger engine.

You need to be careful when tightening the HSN to the car body. I agree with the above poster, this is a user issue. I have NEVER stripped a carb body nor had any leaks in that area. I only snug the needle and thats it. It does not need much torque at all.

ive heard few work any better than stock and most hinder performance and engine longevity
