motor problems

on my Merv the motor is sound realy weird when its slowing down but not when it is accelerating. in runs fine the noise sounds like it needs to be oiled or something is there motor oil you can put in it and would it help.

is it the vxl 3m system? If so a drop of 3 in 1 or light bearing oil on either end where the bearings are is recommended every month or two. And does it slow down very quickly? because if so check your gear mesh it will be too tight in that case get a strip of paper place it inbetween the gears and tighten fully then pull it out

try adjusting the gear mesh anyway cus i don't see what else could be the problem

i ajusted the gear mesh nothing helped do i need a new motor

Is it when it's moving, but not with power from the motor, like coasting? Do you hear the noise then?

not necessarily do you notice a decrease in performance or increased temperatures?

Actually if it's just making a weird sound remove the motor and try and move the shaft from side to side there should be extremely little play if you can do it easily you need a new motor

theres no play and its been a bit warmer that usual

have you changed your setup recently gearing battery etc?
