Are those Lipos bought from China? If so, be careful and really keep and eye on them. You can still play, you'll just have to use the stock battery for now

just a warning, with a 3s you're gonna probably break some universals (the flange on the yokes tend to snap off) so have extras on hand or better yet, get MIP or tekno shafts.. depends on your driving style and slipper settings, but I have seen so many posts "I got my 3s lipo in and 2 mins later this happened [enter pic of busted yoke]". Anyways, this truck is awesome though... I find a good 2s is all I need and I haven't snapped a yoke yet... (*knocking on wood*)

Many lipos in the market are made in China... I brought mine in a good reputation shop so I think they were ok, and also I will charge and store them in LiPo safe charge bag:

Thanks for reminding me to take care of them. Maybe I should take a try with the stock battery, haha!

Nice setup. Did you get an extra small pinion? The VXL isn't going to like running on 3s without it.

I run the Tekno's, other's the MIP, they both are pretty good, but have different strong points.

The MIP's just replace the stock shafts, they are basically heavy duty versions of stock.

The Teknos change the driveshaft system to a CVD system. You get bigger carriers, that use bigger bearings, and the axles are 6mm, instead of 5. CVD's are more efficient, but don't have the range of motion that the extendending shafts have.

If you had just not got that fan and temp monitor, you could have sold that VXL system, and spent the difference for a different system, you will eventually
