I have an old Nitro Stampede. It probably has had a gallon of nitro run through it since new (I never had that much time to play). It went into storage for a few years and I recently decided to get it out ad have a play. It has always run beautifully. The only issues I ever had were with the EZ start packed up and the Pull start I replaced it with fell apart the day I installed it!! I then resorted to drill starting it.
Anyway since bringing the Stampede out of storage I'm having starting problems. It is really hard to get the engine started. It takes about 15 minutes of trying. Once the engine starts, it runs really well. But as soon as I stop the engine, it still won't start again easily. I have to try again for about 15 minutes.
I bought a new glow plug and starter (old starter battery dead). Bought new fuel (obviously). Replaced fuel lines as they looked a little tired. I made sure the mixture settings were at recommended factory defaults.
I always put after-run oil in it after every session.
Have any of you experts got any ideas what the issue could be? What should I check? I'm pretty much a noob with R/C. I'm happy to stripthe engine but don't know what t look for!
Any help greatly appreciated.
