    The idiot show : connecting 7151x

    Hi all...

    Bought the steel driveshafts today, cuz they were thesame price as 4 plastic ones and i didnt have any yet..

    So ive been looking at the caps, but how onearth are you going to connect those to the diffs?

    you have to open the diff remove the pin and the output thing where the shaft is attached on each side, then replace what you removed for the drive cups and pins, thatīs the hard part the rest is pretty easy. All traxxas parts come with the instructions.

    Same price???? Not at Toemen I assume. The steel ones cost quite a bit more.

    no but that was the only descent pic i could find LOL... i was afraid i had to go into the diff...

    so ill have to take it apart again...

    in that case im dying the chassis as well...

    Lol. Where did you get them anyway?
    If you ever need to replace them, which I dont hope, dont use the GPM steel ones.

    I didnt even take the center shaft... Becuase or reading all of the negative things about the shafts

    Yeah it is a bunch of work. It took me 2 days to replace my CVDs, lube up both differentials, and add steel center shafts. I also added aluminum bulkheads front and rear, so my truck should be fairly bullet proof now. *runs off to knock on some wood*

    two days?? I did that in no more than 2 hrs.

    Ummm yeah. It was my first time. I took the entire thing apart this past weekend to get the center diff out trouble shoot some other issues and it only took 3 hours, which included re heatshink tubing the center drive shafts.
