buying a CANON D50 or EOS need advise

going to buy a present for my niece, she likes photography so much, so i think that i'm going to buy her one of these :
    canon eos 550d 18-135
    canon eos 600d 18-135
    canon D50

i really need help here choosing the best and also want to know some in detail specifications about why does this or that model better to buy than the others...
better to be capable of replacing lenses ..

i read some reviews on the net but still need the advise from whom knows better in this field.

in depth details are welcome with many thanks for every single advise.

I had a Rebel XTi which was great when I had it. Sounds like you are on the right track with the Canon cameras that you have posted above since Canons IMO have the best lenses available. My suggestion would be is to spend the money on a good fast lens since the stock once are pretty much limited on low light.

    thanks guys fot the inputs
maybe my best choice is the eos 600d 18-135, if i'm not wrong it's the best performance with price at the showroom room.
i prefere to buy it from here to get advantage os some of the retailer offers also.

btw all aluminum what do you mean by fast lens ?

    First off what's your budget?
I wouldn't recommend throwing a lot of money into glass until you know your niece is really going to stick with it. A decent zoom such as a 18-135 is a great starter lens and would give you & her a sense of what kind of lenses should could use down the line.

my budget for this present is $1K, i think it's quiet good to by a one fine camera.
as you said, among my options as i stated above to get a camera with 18-135 lens, then upgrading or swap and pay the difference when purchasing.

Get the 60D or the 7D if you have extra cash. The 60D is a fantasic camera...
