I know this is the VXL section, but Im guessing this was also meant for the brushed version too. So I was just wondering if everybody just went straight to brushless or they stopped making upgraded motors??

They still make them... but for the most part; brushless is about the same price or even cheaper.
Keep in mind that the stock 2.5 ESC may not handle a "hotter" motor than stock.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.
Do you know of any upgraded motors that will work?
Not unless you want to change the ESC as well.

Really?? Thats sounds crazy!
Have you checked the limitations of the stock ESC??

Most people nowadays who consider brushed motors as " upgrades" are from the serious crawler community( brushed motor give better slow movement control ie no cogging). Most speedsters or bashers consider brushless as upgrades due to the astronomical increase in speeds, efficiency, and the less maintenance required.
