    PPP 208oz Servo Review

These cheap servos are sold on eBay. I was dumb enough to give on a try. Review is short it was hardly stronger than a single stock Traxxas 2075 and exactly the same speed. On top of that the seller who offered a money back w/ return shipping guarantee never refunded me and "claims" he never received it back.

Save yourself time and money and stay way from these servos.

Thanks for the heads-up and sorry for your loss.
I know they're having their break there by your brake drums. No, you're not invited.

Not a total waste if I can save others people grief I also tried some cheap Hobby_King servos and they were also pretty bad, but to their defense their specs where closer to their performance. I ultimately bit the bullet and bought a Hobbico (*re-badged Hitec) servo and very happy with it. But in all my servo testing the Traxxas 2075 servo has really good performance for the cost. You can find them on eBay for less then $20!

Correction: My bad...I purchased the 244oz version of the servo not the 208oz version. My review stands, it was marginally stronger then a Traxxas 2075 and the same speed.

I cant say it enough..... My local HT sells hyperion servos that are amazing. Metal gears, close to 240 inch ounces of torque and way faster than the 2075s.... all for a whopping $38

I bought one of his 244oz servos also and while It feels and looks more like a .16 or so instead of a .13 it feels quite powerful to me. Now I have now gear or anyway to actually measure these things other than just by comparison to other models Ive used but so far Im completely happy with mine. I like it as much as my Hitec HS-5645MG. Granted I havent had it as long so we'll see how it holds up in the long run.

As for the infamous MG995 it sucks I would stay away from it personally. They arent coreless as they claim to be and the are slow, heavy and overshoot and recenter alot.

The upgraded MG996R is ok. Its not as powerful as the PPP 244oz but its got ok power.Im gonna guess around 160-180ish oz./in and are about the same speed as the PPP servos. As for him honoring his warranty if you bought it through ebay, paid through paypal, and you got a tracking number when you sent it back they will make him refund you regardless of whether he received it or not.

    Just my .02
