    grease or no...???

when I got my jato,it was used. the rear diff was out of it. The thing was a dirty mess.So I scrubbed it up greased it up and put it back together.....I used a minimal amount of high speed grease. Then it crossed my mind! Maybe its supposed to be dry?????....did I blow it??.....ya know it was greasy !so if its not supposed to use grease do you think maybe th diff is leaking???...and should I pull it apart and clean it all out and check the diff?????

many jato owners discovers this as they open the rear diff. i do believe that it's factory pre greassed otherwise it would be stripped . you must greas it, and as i used it would be better to clean it first then grease it.

The transmission is supposed to have a light coating of grease on all the gears, i did the same thing a while ago and got so worried i called traxxas and they told me the transmission is supposed to have a little grease. However, always fill the diff with silicon oil.
Are the tires supposta to blow off going into 2nd?

that's what i did when i converted into brushless, i clean up the grease then installed them back and filled the whole trans case with grease that i bought from tower. this should help keeping the gears not to strip.
