Losi XXX-SCT body fitting the Slash 4x4

Since Trent179 would never respond to any of my PM's about his experience with this particular body or response to the questions I asked in the post I just decided to pull the trigger and get one. Had some concerns before I bought it but just said screw it and paid the money. By the way I paid 34.99 at hobby town not the close to 60 bucks through ebay like his link suggested.

Final report: it fits awesome, almost perfect where even the pre-drilled holes almost line up. Just need to make them a little larger so there is extra mm of clearance and perfect. Seems to be just as good as quality as the stock 4x4 body if not better. Looks better, seems more streamlined with a lower profile, appears that it will catch less air and I am totally happy.

You can't beat this price for a already painted body and all stickered up ready to go. Any other body after you paint it, add stickers or buy stickers or even get the pre-painted ready to go ProGraphix body you've spent 60 dollars.

Thought I'd post my experience since there was nothing on the web about this fitting the slash 4x4 truck and no one at a few of the bigger online HS that had a clue or would even help to see if it fit.

They offer other Losi truck themes that are super awesome like the RockStar Energy truck and the red and black ReadyLift truck.

Just remove the Losi stickers if they bother anyone. I personally love Losi products and they came out with a new higher end 4x4 for racing. The competition is getting good in this market.

Went into my local store and placed the order. Was shipped to the store 3 days later. Whoops the store was Hobby Town the only RC truck and car shop in Little Rock of course.

I should bring to attention that without Trent179 I would have never thought about this body so even though I'm a little bummed he wouldn't take the time to email me back or post a reply or even if he was just on another planet this whole time. In the end I pumped about this new body. Just can't run it anywhere around my border collie/grayhound mix or it too will have teeth marks in it.

I cut the little inlet out of the hood scoop and added the brand 3M 3mil thick, heavy duty motocross clear number plate film to strategic places on the body to help with wear and tear. Looks way cool and like I mentioned before has a lower profile which should help it to be less affected by the air. No tire rub even when the suspension is fully compressed unlike the stock Traxxas body. Applied protective covering underneath anyways. I'll get some final pics when the protective films dries from being applied. Used the wet method to apply so there is some haze.
