    T-maxx build

first of all i would like to thank you all for helping me building my dream maxx,

it all started with the clone of t-maxx, i had one smartech magic wheel which is a rip off of a .15 t-maxx, while searching the parts i came across this forum then i realised there is a better beast so i looked for it locally but here in Oman they don't stock traxass products so i started to look for parts as my budget was tight.the first break through i got the 4910 chassis and few parts from this forum's MP.slowly i acquired the needed parts and buy going through the discussions in this forum i built my t-maxx from the scratch.....its a 2.5r but i have put a 3.3 in it.

    Thats a nice start.

You will need to move the front toe links to the bottom side of the axle carrier arm for improved steering.
    No slipper/tall gearing/power = broken parts.

to my understanding is that instead of screwing the end of your front toe link on top of the axle carriers arm, you screw it to the bottom.

    Ignore the busted pivot ball...
Notice how the turnbuckle rod end is attached to the bottom of the
    axle carrier arm. Like this..

You wasted 2 spurs already? lol j/k, I also have the torque control kit on mine and nothing ever happen to it considering I have a big block engine. Try setting up the mesh at a very little play.

Not sure if you want to or not but, if you drill a hole just below the muffler you can fit that plastic turn down under the truck. I puts the exhaust below the truck and keeps it much cleaner. You also don't have to cut out part of your shell to fit the end through anymore : )

These by THS racing are better quality, I've not read many good things about RC Best.
    http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-THS-Racing-C...item5ae093e603

You can put the newer Revo spec centers in it but you do have to modify them a little, see the thread below for a how to.

I actually have those rd logic cvd but I never got to use it, due to the fact that it was for 4909 model. I have the 4908 witch is the extended version
oh and for the mesh, you just have to play with it.

what i do to set mesh is push my motor over and hold it there. spin the gear and slowly back it away till it gets quiet then i stop and bolt it there and double check to make sure. this will make sure you dont mesh them up to tight.

another thing you can do to get a good gear mesh is take a page from a magazine or catalog (i used the owners manual for my jato) and cut a small strip of it and then put that in between the gears then bolt the motor down and pull the strip out it should have a little resistance but not enough to make it difficult to pull out or to rip the strip

the integy springs are great springs, but the thing is you gotta get the right ones if only buying one color. im buying all of them for adjustablility for racing. so for just bashing i would use the rc raven duel rate springs. but thats just my .02

if it was me i would get the wing mount that you just posted but not that wing. for a a flexible wing you could use a stock revo wing like i did or for a stiffer one get the 1/8 proline high downforce wing. and if i was you i would buy those rc ravens over just one size of the integy springs. if you want the integy springs i would buy a full set so that you have more tuning options. the blue springs are there softest springs they offer.

these are the ones im going to get from them for my race maxx. but so you know they are shorter so either have to just let your car sit lower or put more preload spacers in it.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Integy-40-Piece-...item2eb5916ac5

this is the wing i have. and with that tekno wing mount if you just get some longers screws 3mm X 20mm and some spacers of some type 4mm wide then you dont even have to redrill the holes or anything. which is also what i did.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-TRAXXAS-E-RE...item48403855d2

and here is the proline wing people like.

That is a cool looking body but I know a few who have run/bashed it and they dont hold up as well with all the sharp angles it has compared to a smoother contured body.
