    Summit Discontinued?

    I'm not Announcing This!

I work at a LHS and our systems are showing that the Summit is Discontinued and unable to be ordered from Tower, and Horizon. Can anyone correct me and our systems or clue me in?

I'm sure it's not, I just would like some clarification! Thanks!

It is still on tower http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=LXZGR6**&P=ML
And it has the buy now link on its product page on the traxxas site. There might be a problem in your systems. Have you tried ordering from another online retailer? And lucky you, working in a hobby shop

I don't think they are discontinued. You could email traxxas about it, or call another hobby shop and see if they are still able to order summits

^That would make sense- same reason why #3905 became #3903- same truck but just an updated radio system. Wouldn't surprise me if traxxas 'discontinued' all of it's current electric models and released an updated version with the new brushed escs that have an LVC built-in ( such as the new XL-5 example )....

Yea its about time for a serious upgrade - lets start the suggestions to Traxxas for the next upgrades

    - hardened (steel) diff gears - mine just broke
    - stiffer rear springs as stock

the diffs should be able to handle the stress of crushers, demolishers, and rok lox...i agree with the stiffer springs and stronger steering servos...dual 200oz should do the trick...

^^^x100 million. I have an early, early version on my summit, the wires are too short to reach the far side battery. So i have a little extension i have to use to connect to the one side.

I thought i was crazy when i opened the brand new truck and the battery cables didnt reach the esc.........

I would love to see a retrofit ESC for Lipos.
Maybe a super slow mode for real beginners? I know this isn't a "beginner" truck, but my 6 year old daughter is hooked, since I have hers on 50% power and rubber bands limiting her throttle...

I really can't think of anything else I'd change right now...

You do have super slow mode on the summit. Half power and low gear. Top speed of 4mph
