its a beaten subject but... tires

im not looking for crawling or anything like that. i have my tires for performance. im looking for a fun tire. something for playing in 2nd gear jumping, sliding around, maybe some super light hill climbs and what not, some on the street, ect

as you can see i just basically want a long lasting wheel and tire setup for when i just want to have a good time without wearing down some really nice tires. i want cheap also but not so cheap i sacrifice quality. so what you got??

example i have thought of is a proline masher with rpm revolver stablemaxx wheels
    well that cant be good...

the mashers would be good for you, but i would recommend the 40 series. the maxx size would be small for the summit...

i never really thought about the bigger ones woops! i use my summit for everything but sometimes softer or more agressive tires take a beating from just goofing off. i just feel the mashers are very versatile while not good at anything tire. i guess that makes sense to everyone beside me
    well that cant be good...

The Pro line Trenchers are good bashing tires. They will take the pavement as well as the dirt.I bought them because they are very close to stock size and you can get more speed out of them.My stockers wore quickly on a mixed terrain but these show little sign of wear with hours of bashing. If I had to do it again I would buy them pre mounted on Pro line rims.http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&P=SM&I=LXAELP

yeah thats another good one for just fooling around! idk about those rims since they have zero offset. i think that may be a problem. but there are plenty of other options to use
    well that cant be good...

it makes lots of sense to me! i run the mashers on my EMBE because they are very versatile. they are good off road, decent on the street, but not really GREAT anywhere...

I am using the Axial narrow beadlocks but I read that the Pro lines work fine because they are not as wide as others.Nice thing about them is they would be lighter and not require an hours worth of screwing.

I origionally ran Big Joes on my T-MAXX and then switched them over to my Summit. For the MAXX these tires excelled at EVERYTHING I could sling it at (mud, dirt, grass, gravel, even pavement) and on the Summit, they work just as well. Slick/wet rock, snow everything. These tires are KING!

I'm a mudslinger kind of guy. So far, they are the best tires for me. From dirt, sand, mud and grass to cement or asphalt, these tires handle the Tekin power great. I've had these tires for almost 6 months now and the only wear is on the outer edge corners (from doing donuts on cement). Well this is just MY opinion and I hope this helps you out.

careful with the slingers, I stripped both servos in 5 minutes of running them, still a great tire, the raw amount of rubber on them is huge! they are not going to wear out anytime soon
anything can be fixed with duct tape and zip ties

thats my choice of tire for all my crazy summit times! i absolutely love mudslingers. i would have never thought they were good for driving on anything though. i might just save some money and get one set of those and keep stockers for anything else
    well that cant be good...

for bashing around , get a light tire / wheel setup . so first off glue on rims . I like RPM revolvers for that . as fas as tires again look for light tires . running Rubicons med soft now. I think would be similar to Trenchers . red rock krawlers also good light tires . i think all 3 wear slow . Rubi is good for speed runs also.

light you get more speed burst , and battery tends to last longer. cooler temps also. but you will run hot because you will be blasting more . anyway the lighter the better for just pure mindless fun bashing.

rock crusher , no way. it will just bust up things on truck bashing. to heavy. I know i have them. but do not use them for that purpose.

all good info there! i agree with the lightweight slow wear tire idea. when just playing doing wheelies and jumping stuff stockers take a beating and something radical like mudslingers weigh a ton so really put a beating on the drivetrain (never thought of that part really)
    well that cant be good...

Would anyone know where to buy some 17mm hex wheels with tire treads like a tractor for the summit?
