    So basically you have to cut your stock mounts anyway and spend $25 for new posts that do exactly what a set of RPM slash body mounts do for the same price? love the body but ill pass on the mounts.

    I agree the body lowering kit seems to be a bit much when they are other cheaper alternatives (leftover battery posts, slash body mounts to name a few)...love the body

    Why not just take a Dremel and cut off wheel or an X-Acto saw to the existing ones, I've done that for years on my 2wd!

    i did this with mine and it wasnt easy to get them all the same exact length. in the future ill just buy slash mounts.

    I decided to go with metal posts used for the battery retainers. The cheapest way I have found to get them is to buy two p/n 3727 sets. These are the retainer posts and bar for a 2x2 'pede/rustey, buying two sets (4 posts in all) set me back $6.50, not bad. The body looks A LOT better on the truck now.

    Get the masking tape in the correct width, wrap it around the post, and use that as a cut line, works like a charm

    I just cut mine down, it was FREE.
