ez start with a 8.4 volt battery

Well tower sent me the wrong battery today for my uncles in-laws stampede... need a hump pack. They sent a stick.
They are sending out the correct battery. But now I have an extra. Can I use this for the Ez start system ???

Once or twice should not be a prob but if you continue to use an 8.4v you will wear the one way bearing and could fry the EZ start control box. The ez start motor will be fine because the control box shuts off when it gets too hot. When I first got my rustler I did not have a bat so I used an 8.4v from an airsoft gun. once i relized that you can get a bat for cheaper than a one way bearing I made sure to get 7.2 lol I had to replace the control box and the one way bearing. Good luck.
