Taking Jato 3.3 out of storage
Hello Everyone! I used to post on this forum about 3 years ago. I was probably the only girl here, if anyone remembers. I think my name was SueFor2 or something like that, but my email has changed, and I can't remember my password. I'll cut to the chase:
I last ran my Jato 3.3 about 3 years ago, the day before I had my daughter. I ran the after run oil as always, and it has been in storage in my basement since then, which is climate controlled and has 3 dehumidifiers. I am wondering if I can just dust it off, change the glow plug and batteries, put some fuel in it and run it, or if I should take it to my local hobby shop and have the engine and everything completely torn down. My daughter is 2 1/2 and my son is 15 months, and I really don't have time to do it myself. I also have Traxxas topfuel, which is unopened, which I assume after 3 years I need to toss it and buy new due to moisture contamination. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I should proceed with getting it running again. Thanks for your time. This was always an awesome forum and I look forward to being a part of it again. I am really itching to get back into the hobby again! I am hoping that my kids and I can enjoy it together in the future.
