    Angry jittery steering

    hey
i bought a 2nd hand revo 1/16th, and when i got it it was fine but its starting to get twitchy steering, as in when i'm not steering it will twitch. it also seems to do it when i tap the controller. also ever now and then when its on its lid and i'm trekking to go flip it the throttle also twitches,

any idea what this could be and if i can fix it

    thanks in advance

get a anti twitch capacitor made by novak or similar, they are like $10

it is either that, or the servo is dieing and needs replacement

part of the nature of the beast because every little input on a vehicle this small, turns into extreme amount of output
Love how Noobs ask a ?, then say you're wrong

Maybe your wheels can't turn freely (with esc switched off). Check if there is rust on the pivot balls.

theres no rust on them. it operates smoothly it just twitches more when its upside down, and it does it when i tap the controller. also sometimes it was holding at full lock untill i moved the steering and it straightened up. its abit annoying going flat out down the road and all of a sudden it turns straight for the gutter.

Another possibly obvious question, but did you check if the connector is plugged in the right way into the receiver?

Check your radio system, is it the AM? They're not very good.

seems more like some kind of electronic "glitch," and could be why the previous owner sold it as well as a problem with "buying used" as you are oftentimes buying somebody else's problem.

That sounds like radio interference or a bad radio to me. You cab find plenty of used 2.4ghz traxxas radio on the market, they're leaps and bounds better than the AM setup! If you don't have the cash to spend on a new system right now, try out a difference frequency crystal to rule out the interference possibility and see if the radio is in fact bad. Let us know what you find!
