    Help with jumping please.

I have two slashes, one is brushed and jumps nice and flat at the track. The other we just installed the Traxxas brushless system in it and it points up on every jump landing on its back bumper and doing cartwheels. both are set up the same.

I have tried taking spacers out of the back, out of the front, adding spacers, hitting the gas on take off, hitting the brakes...etc. If i mash the brake it does go a little better but not like the brushed one.

should i add drag brakes? Can I using the traxxas 2.4 g radio....

    Help please

Are you holding the throttle while in the air and landing? If so it could just be the extra torque launching off of the jump forcing it back ward. Whe. You jump it try switching to reverse while in the air and it should brake and pitch the front end forward to level it out.

You could try to drill a couple of holes into the back of the body, and a few into the windshield to help release some of the trapped air in higher speed jumps. It acts as a parachute at times.

EDIT: Try a few jumps without the body first. If it seems you have more mid air control without it, the above mod will help.

Try to use a softer spring or lighter oil in the rear shocks

Let off the throttle before you hit the ramp.

I have tried holding the throttle off the jump, coasting off the jump, hitting the brake in the air etc. I have not tried to go into reverse in the air.

I will try lighter oil in the rear. Like I said I have two trucks set up the same and only one has this problem.

And I am going kinda slow approaching the jumps as they are on a track. Not going full speed.

I'm willing to bet you'll lose a lot less time going "slow" off the jump than cartwheeling off the track.
Depending on the angle of the ramp, it may just be impossible to go off it full speed without the truck flipping.

I believe the BL system weights more. Might have something to do with it.

Yep, the brushless system weighs more. If you've tried everything else you may need to shift your battery forward or do other things to help the weight balance.

he has no control in the air. Try a few jumps without the body and see if you regain control. Then re read my previous post.

    battery forward should help.

if you have some fun with a dremel, you can get the battery pretty far forward.

This can make the truck more prone to oversteer, but it works well for me.

what ever you do don't hit reverse, you land with the wheel's going backward's your going to cause damage to the drive line. It may end up being catstrophic damage. Alot are saying jump without the body, they do parachute alot, especially with the 2wd slash. Battery forward will help level it out. Good luck.

I had trouble clearing jumps at my local track. Drilled 2 3/8in holes in the back of the cab, problem solved.im not sure how your track is setup, but if yu go full blast at the jump, let off right before yiu hit the bottom of the face of the jump. As soon as the front tires are on the jump face, hit the throttle, when your in the air, hit the brakes.

What that does is preload the suspension. Mx riders do the same thing. With the holes, us catching air in the body. So the holes will act as vents. If you can balance the weight a bit more forward to help the truck level out, that woukd be good too. The brushless motor does weigh a bit more. More weight over the rear tires could mean better traction.

Everything mentioned is good advice..EXCEPT going in reverse. You could damage the trans, plus in a race, you arent supposed to use reverse anyways....you should be setting your esc to race mode.
