Does anyone have a body-clip solution?

I have lost like 5 already. Pretty much any time this thing hits its lid, a clip comes out or bends pretty good and is unusable
Right now, i have a paperclip straightened out and bent at the post points.. about 20 mins of good bashing and it hasnt moved..

Anyone else doing anything like this?

I have leashes on the front and regular clips in the rear pushed all the way in. Tried leashes in the rear but doing wheelies chewed them up.

You can try the dubro body clip retainers. I have them on my merv and they work pretty well.

use velcro on the battery compartment doors and on the the inside of the body...
loose the clips... no matter what clips solution you choose

but what is dupro ??? since the velcro does not do with the Summit

I used my gfs little black hair ties work great loop them threw the exo cage then just push the clips over the tie so it sits in the big loop and it's super cheap

Dubro clip retailers are like a rubber leash. The trick is, drill the hole in you body somewhere that doesn't drag or hit the ground in a rollover or lid skid.

    Sorry it's a p4de, I don't own a summit "YET" lol.

so the Paperclips are holding up just fine.. Not that i want a paperclip holding down the body but its working. I'd defitiely do the Velcro- that would be ideal but it just wont work well enough on the summit.

    some thoughts on potential solutions

    1) change the direction of the holes- in other words, instead of the clips being inserted pointed front-to-back/back-to-front, why didnt Traxxas make them so they insert side-to-side? I have a M-LST and yes its a piece of Junk BUT- the clips never come out because they go side to side.
    2) Make a low profile clasp system thats part of the Exo-skeloton, something like a shielded lobster-claw clasp that lives on the exo-skeleton and when you pop the body on the truck, you just "clip" it onto the posts.. (i can see how it would work in my head, but im sure im not getting it down here)

Problem I had with the Dubro leashes is that when pulling off the pins they would break off and I'm left holding a loop in the clip and a broken end.

If the clips for the rally are the same as the summit, then this will work:

I have not lost a clip since. Costs nothing. Pay attention where the new bend is added to the clip. It makes a difference.

EDIT: I am also a fan of the paperclip method for bashing with my pede's. Looks bad, works great.
