Standard to Traxxas charger adapter

I just received a couple of official traxxas brand standard-to-traxxas charger adapters and the tag on them says that they can only be used with low amperage/current. can anyone verify this? how low do they mean? i was planning on using a 5amp charge, do you think thats okay?

Sounds like they are tamiya plug to traxxas plug adaptors- 5amps charge rate should be fine. Little balancing plugs can take 2-3amps without any issues so I cant imagine the tamiya connectors will struggle, naff as they are.

EDIT: dont charge imhs above their rated capacity though- 2.5amps for 2500mah, 4.6amps for 4600mah etc; they will get rather toasty if you try it, and runtime wont be as good as a slower charge.

hmm interesting you say that , cause i tried charging the 4600's at 5amps yesterday and the max Amp reading on the charger ever got to was like 4 and a bit.
